The Bible speaks specifically of 3 stages of growth – babyhood, adolescence and maturity. This is not something that God is going to do for us but, rather, it is something that we have to take personal responsibility for. Now God will provide the resources for us to accomplish this task, namely the personal ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives. But the first move has to be ours and as we step out on this road to spiritual maturity, then God will step in and help us to attain that goal.
